Everyone so creative. This is my original, I had to take a photo of it cause my scanner wasn't working at the time and I sent the original to a friend for his birthday.

How about "Post your original Artwork" as a title for this topic? Someone changed it to "Post Your Original Stuff" which doesn't look as good imo. What do you guys think?

How about just "Post your Artwork"

Because "original", as far as websites such as pixiv and dA are involved, rule out things such as fan art and this includes games, anime, shows, books. It can be a bit confusing and may raise some doubts as to what can be put up here. "Your" is enough to imply artwork that you've created.

That's a great title, I find it pretty obvious it should be your original stuff when it's yours and I even wrote "original content" in the post.

I think fan-art shoul be allowed in this topic even though it can't be considered very original, but because you made it.

Pixiv does state that fan art is not original content, so I'd be a bit hesitant before I post a pic I drew of Goku in here, for example. Sure, it's not original but it's still one's work per se.

EDIT: Well to give my post a bit more of a purpose, here's a draft of my next pic I'm working on. Inking/making lineart is so tedious =w=

Use an HB pencil for guidelines, then a stronger pencil such as a 2B for the actual drawing. Try to use the least amount of strokes possible for your lines so you can keep it clean and simple. Usually when you're using too many strokes for a particular shape it means that you're not sure how to draw it. This happens with eyes, hands, and ears; things that are usually fun but hard to draw. And yeah, it'll probably take several strokes until you figure out what's the shape you want, but make sure to erase them and settle on one, not three or a whole mess of them.

Also make your fingers a bit thicker; they need some more meat in there.

But yeah, that's pretty good

This is exactly my problem. I still tend to use many strokes to form a line... Looks like I have to take a break from digital and back to practicing with pencil and paper for a bit. Haha.

Yea, I needed to remake a picture in my own style for art class so and add a part of a song to it.
And follow some there line, to try to learn how other people draw those types of senarios, then you just add your own ideas to it.
So some parts are stolen but am still learning how to draw.

You bean, this isn't bad. But your skills are far too rough, just like your lines! Minimalize the number of strokes it takes you to draw something; from simple shapes such as squares to complex ones such as facial features or clothes. If you have trouble getting the proper shape and have to make several strokes just to see what seems best, make sure you make them soft so you can erase them later and finish it off with a minimal amount of strokes.

Take a look at, for example, fold on Kud's hat. I took you at least seven strokes to make that line or at least went over it several times, not to mention you did so quite roughly. You should be able to do it in two, or maybe even one if you can manage it. If it looks weird, instead of going over it repeatedly until it looks fine, erase it entirely and try again. Again, do so gently otherwise there'll be marks left. Also, scanners typically pick up smudges, even when you draw neatly. Why? Well, the part of your hand that rests on the paper as you draw (the hand holding the pencil) typically picks up graphite/lead as it drags itself across the paper. As it rubs itself on the paper, it creates smudges. Well damn.

On that note, I've seen Japanese artists prevent this (on YouTube) by placing a folded paper beneath their drawing hand, to reduce any possible smudging. Just a little tip out there :I

Seems fine, though I wouldn't worry much about the BG. I think her palm is ing the wrong part of the face with that pose. Her hand should be ing the cheek, in other words the palm must be at around mouth/jaw level, not eye level. If that is the case, her palm should also be positioned horizontally, so as to properly counteract the vertical force of gravity acting on the head. The hand should be more like this: ---- and less like this \ . Not entirely horizontal though! Just turned a bit counterclockwise.

UNLESS she is just like brushing away her hair or something in which case ignore this '~'

Messy rough draft. Somebody tell me anything that's wrong with this picture (other than the lines looking messy :/) I want to improve.

The lines looks messy

Proportions, limbs (arms, legs) are composed of two main parts, ed by a knee or elbow. In any case these parts should be equal in length to each other. Typically half of an arm's length equals a head, though that only applies to grown men/women. In teenagers and children it's somewhat shorter, and in lolis/chibis it's dramatically shorter than that. Anyway in your pic Shizuru's (I think that's her, I haven't played either galge) forearm is too long. Since it's necessary that she keep her hand on that patch, just have her raised at a higher angle, while shortening the forearm.

Azusa is fine, although the top of her head is too... High.
