Problem details:
Hi Recently I've been having some issues in regards to the connection between my audio and my game. When I launch the game I have no delay on my audio and everything works perfectly fine, but after around about 20 minutes my maps become out of sync with the audio. If I restart the issue is resolved most of the time but it comes back faster the more I've restarted the game. So the 2nd time I restart the problem is back after around 10 minutes.

I can best describe the problem as audio latency or lag on the audio. The sounds and hitsounds are both not in sync with the gameplay and due to that reason the game becomes mostly unplayable. The delay changes throughout my osu session so for example the sound is of by a little bit when I start a map but at the end of the map its basically unplayable.

My osu is running on 2ms of delay the entire session but I still encounter the issue.
I play on a gaming pc which can easily run osu
I've recently reinstalled my audio drivers to see if that helped
I have a wired headset
When I play and have taskmanager open with my pcs performence I see no weird things happening yet I still have the audio lag/latency

The problem is also not with my gameplay because I still see the delay on other peoples replays.

I will also be posting a video soon in which u can see the delay

I hope someone can help me with this issue because its really stopping me from enjoying the game. I really love this game and would hate it if I had to stop playing because of some stupid audio delay thing.

The video might not be verry clear but it at least shows that there is delay. If needed I can make another video in which I can put a play with the issue next to a play where I dont have lag to see the issue clearer.

If your audio becomes out of sync progressively after playing for a while, it will likely be related to this known issue: https://github.com/ppy/osu-stable-issues/issues/306 .

Try reinstalling your audio/sound card drivers and restart osu! though, and see if that helps

Thanks for your reply

You try have a full read through the issue in the above link, but there not much of a solution yet from what I understand.

You can try toggling Audio Compatibility Mode in osu!'s settings.

I think I solved the issue
I dont know if this solution will be temporarily or just permanent but it seems te be a lot better than before

I deleted my realtek drivers and restarted my pc. After the restart my pc had automatically reinstalled my realtek drivers so I deleted them again and restarted. They still were there after the restart but when I went into osu the audio was much better and I haven't encountered any problems since then

(This was yesterday)

The only problem I have now is getting used to playing without the audio delay cause since I played with different audio delays for about a month it feel verry strange to play without the delay

Thanks for your quick replies you helped a lot :)
