one question.
why does nostalgia exist? it's making me get old flashbacks and hurt my brain

i keep thinking about how I miss the old days, especially when I see some random thing and think like ("oh! I used to use that thing 9 years ago")

like why?? does this happen to you too???

lol of course, and why not see it as a beautiful thing instead? While flashbacks can be bad memories, you may not even realize the good ones. Ever listened to an old song you really liked back then?

I recently found an old iPod Touch buried away in my closet - it was full of old photos, music, and games, and the nostalgia was off the charts. (It even had the original Flappy Bird installed, haha!) It can be bittersweet to reminisce about good times in the old days, it's a common experience for everyone.

interestingly this happened recently. randomly found an old song that holds a set of memories, making the song to me much more of a beauty to bestow upon my deafening ears.
Doom Mood
it's a great reminiscence of how things in the old times felt so good to imagine or experience once again

nostalgia exists mostly because you miss it. especially when you have grown and you want to return to the simpler times without having to think the recent things youre doing. nostalgia always depends on other ppl. like some find the quarantine days nostalgic etc... lol

I have various moments in my life which I'm definitely not proud of, but I also have various moments that I want to treasure forever.

honestly this is such a lovely way to perceive things, and life in general.

throughout the years we experience, sometimes the best reminders are the fact that we existed. sometimes, that is enough. being such a small speck in the universe, learning to come to with yourself and your past experiences, whether good or bad, is a path in itself to enlightenment and fulfillment. from the embarassing to the joyous, we are nothing without our past. i like to think of those blips of feelings of nostalgia as something wonderful, as a momento in which the world has impacted us.

we have nostalgia as it is a way of coping with the demon that is change. we want to stay in those happy moments forever and have things fine the way they are but alas; the big bad change has to come and ruin everything.

the only way we can go back or hold on to the past is through nostalgia. sad i know but change is evil and there's no way to defend yourself from it :(
