I'm not expecting to an extent like you would towards your own countrymen, but I'm still curious. Personally, I definitely do. I generally assume that other EU countries are reliable allies, and that their people will generally have values and morals that align with mine and are also culturally more similar.

What countries would those be? And yes I agree that Trump is definitely increasing the sentiment, since the EU is protecting individual countries (e.g. Denmark) from getting bullied.

I feel like there are several groups within EU, mostly geographical, such as western Europe (, , Spain, ...), North (Scandinavian countries), and one or two groups at the east of Europe, and I believe this is what European feels patriotic about when this isn't their own country. I may be wrong.
