With the release of Windows 11 24H2 there has been a common issue I have personally experienced in addition to other people noticing the same issue. The issue rendering people unable to stream osu stable/cutting edge on discord, instead it freezes on one frame and only allowing audio to be heard.
After reading the windows updates and trouble shooting osu, the only current fix is to apply a DXGI Swapchain over the renderer for osu in Nvidia control .
Go to nvidia control -> adjust 3d settings -> program settings, select osu from the drop down, scroll to the bottom and enable “prefer layered on DXGI swapchain”.
The issue is caused by the flip model, and the changes to the flip model were not updated until release of 24H2. Osu Lazer and any game using renderers like Direct3D 11 work perfectly fine, it seems it is only an issue on OpenGL.
This is the only fix that has been found outside of playing in windowed mode (which hinders gameplay). I am posting this to see how many others are experiencing this issue as well to hopefully get the dev team to look into it.
Any other potential fixes would be appreciated as I have found no other, thank you
