It depends on why you’re there. If you’re there for the vibes and for the music, then you don’t need to be intoxicated. If you’re comfortable with your friends and whatnot, then you don’t need drugs and alcohol. If you want to interact with strangers and make new friends, then maybe you want to match the level of intoxication unless you’re comfortable interacting with intoxicated people while you remain sober.

It just depends. Some people get more sociable and friendly when they’re intoxicated, other people get less so. It’s all about getting into your comfort zone. Alcohol and drugs aren’t the cure-all for fun.

I guess thats right. Haven't been to a club or rave so I'm not really sure, but it doesn't come off as a place to make friends just because of how chaotic it is. To me a party seems to be a perfect middle-ground of fun and relaxed for friend-making.
